New Leicester City boss Ruud van Nistelrooy admits he is disappointed to leave Manchester United. But thanks Ruben Amorim for an open conversation

“When I took the temporary job, I said I was ready to stay and help United and I meant it,” Van Nistelrooy said.

“So yeah, I’m disappointed and it hurts me to leave the club. The only team I would have been an assistant to was Manchester United. Because of the relationship I had with the people at the club and the fans.”

“But eventually I started to accept it because I understood the new manager as well. I’ve been in football long enough and I’ve managed teams before.”

“I spoke to Reuben about it, to be fair to him. It was a lovely conversation, โปรโมชั่น ufabet we had an open conversation as managers.”

“That helped me move on a lot easier and then straight away I was talking to a number of clubs. About the possibilities and of course that helped me recover mentally.”

Van Nistelrooy returned to United as Erik ten Hag’s assistant in the summer, then took over on an interim basis after Ten Hag was sacked, winning three and drawing one.

The 48-year-old former striker confirmed he would be happy to stay with the Red Devils in any capacity, but has since parted ways with the club after Amorim arrived with his coaching staff from Sporting Lisbon.
