Spanish outlet Relevo reports that Real Madrid are considering a move for Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot if they fail to land Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The La Liga giants have made several contacts with Liverpool over a move for Alexander-Arnold, whose contract expires next summer.
However, with Liverpool on fire this season, Alexander-Arnold could be considering a new future.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side are reportedly eyeing Dalot as an alternative to the England right-back.
Madrid value Dalot at around £40-50m and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Portuguese forward by the 15-time Champions League winners while Erik ten Hag remains in charge.
The 25-year-old has made 178 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring six goals and providing 12 assists and was voted the club’s Player of the Year last season by his team-mates.
Dalot’s importance has increased during the 2023-24 season, ยูฟ่าเบท with him starting 35 of United’s 38 Premier League games and scoring twice.
Ruben Amorim has become the new manager of Man Utd but Dalot is likely to stay as he has the potential to play in a 3-4-3 formation.
He has been deployed at left wing-back for Amorim’s first three games and could feature again in the trip to Arsenal in midweek.
Dalot has four years remaining on his contract at Man Utd after signing a new deal in May 2023.
