Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hinted that second-choice goalkeeper Stefan Ortega could be given another chance. But Ederson remains the team’s number one despite being dropped for Sunday’s 2-0 Premier League defeat at Liverpool.

Ortega came in for Ederson after the Brazilian made a high-profile error in the 3-3 draw against Feyenoord. While Josko Gvardiol was also replaced by the returning Ruben Dias.

The switch didn’t have a huge impact as Ortega was at fault for Liverpool’s second goal. After fouling Luis Diaz to give away a penalty that was converted by Salah.

“Ederson is the first-choice goalkeeper. And Stefan Ortega is the second-choice goalkeeper,” the City boss said at his pre-Premier League press conference in midweek.

When asked how Ederson had reacted to being dropped, the Spaniard said to ทางเข้า ufabet: “Really good. We’ve known each other for eight years, nine years.

“Ederson is Man City’s No. 1, Stefan [Ortega] is No. 2. But maybe Stefan will continue, we will see tomorrow and in the next games.”

“Ederson responded very well, but maybe Stefan will continue to start.”

Ortega has made five appearances in all competitions for City this season, but is making his first start of the season in the Premier League.

The next match in the league, the “Sky Blues” will host Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night, December 4th at 2:30 AM, Thailand time, broadcast live on True Premier Football 3.
